Eurocon Ukraine successfully completed the transition project from 1C to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

In a construction company Eurocon Ukraine successfully completed the transition from the Russian accounting system 1C to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system. The project was completed by a consulting company Innoware, which has been helping organizations in Ukraine and around the world implement innovative, comprehensive ERP, CRM, and HR solutions from Microsoft for over 25 years.

Eurocon Ukraine is a Ukrainian subsidiary of an international construction concern Nordecon, which operates in almost all segments of the construction market and is one of the largest construction structures in Estonia with more than 26 years of experience in Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Germany and Ukraine.

Eurocon Ukraine began operating on the Ukrainian market in 2003 and has over 90 completed projects in Ukraine in its portfolio, including industrial facilities, logistics complexes, shopping and entertainment centers, residential complexes, hotels and business centers. General contracting is the main type of activity Eurocon Ukraine. The company carries out a full cycle of construction of industrial and commercial facilities of any complexity: from design to delivery of the finished facility on a turnkey basis.

Organizational prerequisites

Due to the active development of the business  Eurocon Ukraine needed to implement a new modern ERP system with extended functionality and the ability to integrate with modern specialized solutions for the construction industry. At the same time, the management of the parent and Ukrainian companies considered it unacceptable to continue using 1C in Eurocon Ukraine. Given the financial, security and reputational risks, the company's management initiated a project to transition from the Russian sanctioned accounting system to a modern, secure and most widespread ERP system in the world. Choosing a solution

Parent company Nordecon has been using for over 10 years Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system as a corporate solution that allows you to automate and unify all business processes of a large international construction concern. Given the many years of successful experience in using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the Nordecon management decided to implement this particular ERP system in Eurocon Ukraine.

Additional arguments in favor of implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central were:

• the presence of a development company in Ukraine Ukrainian localization solution, which fully complies with the requirements of local legislation in terms of accounting, tax, personnel accounting and payroll;
• high level of security of Microsoft software products;
• flexibility, the ability to integrate with other Microsoft products and third-party solutions, in particular Bauwise (specialized software for managing costs for construction companies);
• optimal price-quality ratio.

Choosing an implementation partner

Leadership Nordecon took a very responsible approach to choosing an implementation partner Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central в Eurocon Ukraine. Mandatory requirements for the partner were the presence of a successfully working implementation methodology, the ability to model business processes within the system, as well as a high professional level of knowledge of the financial and tax legislation of Ukraine among the consultants who will be involved in the implementation project. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central в Eurocon Ukraine and the partner company has developed an official Ukrainian localization available on Microsoft Marketplace (AppSource).

Based on the results of a detailed analysis, the management Nordecon chose the company Innoware – a certified Microsoft partner who fully met the above requirements and has in its portfolio over 500 successfully implemented projects for the implementation of Microsoft ERP, CRM and HR solutions in companies from various business sectors, in Ukraine and around the world.

Implementation approach, project stages

Implementation ERP systems Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central в Eurocon Ukraine began with the formation and coordination of the project scope. Workshops and trainings were held for the customer's team on the standard functionality of the system according to the defined business processes, as a result of which additional needs, goals, requirements and expectations of the customer were identified.

The next stage was the transfer of industry modifications developed for the parent company Nordecon to the system, as well as the implementation of customizations necessary for Eurocon Ukraine.

In parallel, the implementation team from Eurocon Ukraine prepared data for migration from 1C to the new ERP system – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. They supplemented it with additional information as needed.

The final stage of the project was additional training and testing of the system by end users.
